How to use QuickBooks Job Costing – Knowledge of job cost reports

QuickBooks offers a plethora of reports of standard costing work designed to give you the information you need to manage your customer and employment. Some of these reports are only found in the Contractors and Accountants of issues, but many are available in other versions of QuickBooks as well.

Jobs and profitability reports:

These reports can be found in Pro, Premier and Enterprise in the Reports> Jobs, Time and Mileage.

Job Profitability Summary – This report summarizes the amount of profits your company has done for each customer.

Job Profitability Detail – This report of the exercises to detail the costs and revenues for each phase of work billed to selected clients or work, so you can see which parts of the work were profitable and which were not.

Item Profitability – This report summarizes the amount of benefits that has made each element or phase of work to sell.

Profit and Loss of employment – This report shows how much profit is winning or losing on every job.

Costs not billed by the job – This report shows the costs allocated to a specific client or job, but not yet billed as reimbursable expenses.

Working Estimates Reports:

These reports can be found in Pro, Premier and Enterprise in the Reports> Jobs, Time and Mileage.

The employment estimates against actual data Summary – This report summarizes the costs exactly how your business-related work and earnings estimates. The report summarizes estimates of actual costs and estimated actual revenues for all customers.

The employment estimates against actual data Detail – This report of the exercises to detail the costs and revenues for the selected customer or job. It is estimated that compares the actual costs and estimated actual income of each phase of work you get paid. Thus, you can see which parts of the work to calculate with precision and which parts did not.

Job Progress Invoices vs. Estimates – This report compares each estimate of progress invoices based on that estimate. For each customer or job, this report shows where the estimate is activated, the estimated total, total bill estimated bills in progress, and the percentage of the estimate and invoices billed in progress.

Estimates of the article against the actual data – This report summarizes the accuracy of your company’s estimated costs and revenues of the elements and stages of work to sell. The report summarizes an estimated cost of actual and estimated that the real incomes of all its articles.

Estimates of employment – This report lists all active estimates assigned to a customer or job.

These reports can only be found in the Contractors and Accountants QuickBooks editions. Some of them are also available in the edition of Professional Services.

Full Employment Cost Summary – Once you enter the extent along each of their jobs, this report summarizes the cost to complete each of their jobs that have active estimates. It also shows how far he is above or below their estimate.

Costs to complete by Job Detail – This report of the years until phased detailed estimated cost to complete the selected customer or job and how much is above or below their estimate.

Employment costs and labor for Vendor Summary – This report lists the jobs related to expenses incurred for each job, broken down by supplier.

Distributor of employment costs and Detail – This report displays a detailed list of all work related expenses incurred by each provider, broken down by position.

Employment and Labor Costs Vendor Summary – This report lists the jobs related to expenses incurred for each provider, broken down by position.

Details of employment costs – This report shows the costs incurred for each job. This report is useful if you have to break all purchases of equipment suppliers, all invoices from subcontractors and all labor costs for each job.

Unpaid bills for work – This report lists the bills that have not yet paid, on the orders of customers and jobs. It lists only accounts associated with a client or job. This You report helps if waiting to pay bills from suppliers for a specific job when you receive a payment from the client.

Unpaid Work by Vendor – This report shows all invoices that have not yet paid, sorted by supplier or subcontractor, and lists of any client or the work associated with each item on the bill.

Expenses not allocated to work – This report lists expenses that are not assigned to a client or work, rose by the supplier. Use this report to help identify the costs that you may have forgotten to pass on to their customers.
